Meri Bryce

I have a deep love for Southern California, my family moved here in 1975 from Puerto Rico and I’ve never left. I began in the corporate world, as a general manager where my love for fashion and quality goods grew. With that came my desire for entrepreneurship, allowing the opportunity to balance family and work. I started my own businesses; an environmental sustainable cleaning company, a children’s clothing line, and hand made baby carriers.

The intention I hold in my professional career has always intertwined with my family. Being a parent, it’s important to me that I raise my children with sustainable practices, nature based play grounded in creativity and curiosity. This is what community members have found at Magical Child since 1995.

I have had the honor to grow Magical Child alongside the families that shop there. Building strong relationships is at the forefront of my work, I’ve seen children come in picking out beloved curated toys, to then working with me in high school, college, and even starting their own families. I love the Encinitas community and I look forward to continuing to build connections, uplift local businesses, and grow our future.
