Irene Pyun

Executive Director

Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association

Originally from Los Angeles, Irene moved to La Jolla to attend UCSD where she graduated with a BA in Communications. She has since developed years of experience in Public Relations, Marketing, and Event Planning. Her work experience has always pertained to the non-profit sector, given her desire to focus on community enrichment.

When she’s not working, you can find her volunteering at events from Leucadia 101 or Cardiff 101. She serves as the Membership Chair, Board Member and proud Rotarian of Encinitas “Animal House” Rotary Club. She also served time as the President of the Encinitas Preservation Association - working for the protection and enhancement of the Encinitas Boat Houses.

She has helped shape downtown Encinitas with various projects - wayfinding signs in Encinitas, an artistic crosswalk across 101, multiple public murals and more. Irene just celebrated her 10 years with Encinitas 101 in 2025!
