Shout and About 

Shout and About was founded by Tamara Houghten, who opened the first shop in 2015 after noticing the need for a place to find well-designed yet affordable gifts in her Echo Park neighborhood. After returning to her hometown of San Diego, Tamara expanded Shout and About with two additional locations in Carlsbad and Encinitas, carrying forward the vision of creating a go-to destination for unique and thoughtful gifting.

The newest Encinitas location is a thoughtfully curated boutique designed to bring joy to every shopper. Alongside the signature collection of playful, design-forward gifts that Shout and About is known for, the coastal-inspired shop also offers natural wines, craft beers, and specialty pantry goods—making it a one-stop destination with something special for everyone.
