20th Annual Taste of Mainstreet International Food Festival
Thursday August 27, 2009
6-9pm in Downtown Encinitas
Presented by the Downtown Encinitas MainStreet Association, the Taste of MainStreet has become one of the largest and most successful events of its kind in San Diego County. Participating restaurants will offer delicious samples of a vast variety of food. Guests will be treated to 34 different taste sensations.
This year we have added a few new elements to make it the best Taste of MainStreet yet. We will have live cooking demonstrations from the Executive Chef for Sub-Zero and Wolf, Bridget Bueche. We will also be introducing the Amuse Bouche Award which will be judged by local food writers and celebrity chefs. An amuse-bouche is a single, bite-sized hors d’oeuvre that is usually served as an excitement of the taste buds to both prepare the guest for the meal and to offer a glimpse into the chef's approach to cooking. We will also be holding the People’s Choice Award. We encourage every event attendant to vote for their favorite bite of the night.
Tickets are $25 (cash, check or Visa/MasterCard) and
are available for sale beginning August 1st. Click Here to Order They will be available at
the DEMA office and may be picked up Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm & from 9am to 8:30pm the day of the event.
Tickets are strictly limited and available on a first-come,
first-serve basis. If you are unable to get a ticket, we invite you to
come downtown, mingle with your friends, listen to some good music playing at several venues
along the coast highway and enjoy a meal at any one of our featured restaurants.
