ON SATURDAY, March 12th, 2011 at 12noon the 101 Arts Alive Banners will be unveiled, view the banners until4pm at Cabo Grill on the corner of North Coast Hwy 101 & La Costa Ave. After the unveiling the Banners will be on display on the lamp posts along Hwy 101 in Downtown Encinitas, Leucadia and the Cardiff Town Center where they will remain until May. On Sunday, June 5th at 2pm the Arts Alive Banners will be auctioned off by professional auctioneer Rich Houk at the Cardiff Town Center Courtyard. Final bids are accepted at the Live Auction. 2012 Encinitas Arts Alive Unveiling – February 4th Dedicated in Memory of Arts Patron and Councilwoman Maggie Houlihan   January 2012– This year’s Arts Alive Unveiling is scheduled for Saturday, February 4th, 2 p.m., at 1950 N. Coast Highway (former Cabo Grill, just south of La Costa Avenue) in Leucadia.  The 13th year of this six mile art exhibit is dedicated to Encinitas Councilwoman Maggie Houlihan who passed away in September and was a tremendous supporter of the Arts Alive program. March 19, 2010  From the The Coast News – In an effort to bring art to the people rather than people to the art, the 101 Artists’ Colony in cooperation with the Downtown Encinitas MainStreet Association has once again brightened up Coast Highway 101 with the Arts Alive banners, including “Retro Audrey” by Dody Tucker.  Also featured is “Squid Party” by Niles Tucker.
